Like many of us, Chef Kirsten has a family history of lifestyle related disease. At 25 years old she had fought a life-long battle with food addiction and low self-esteem. With high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diagnosed pre-diabetic, she was over 100 pounds overweight. One day, sitting on the couch lacking energy, she watched her 2 year old daughter playing. Kirsten realized if she didn’t change the habits she was modeling, her daughter was likely to meet the same unhealthy destiny.
Embracing the wonderful things food brings to our lives, she set out to learn how to live a balanced, energetic, nourishing lifestyle. Kirsten was determined to create a life for her family based on longevity, health and happiness. Creating healthier versions of indulgent favorites and exploring flavors from other cultures, Kirsten created a style all her own. She calls this “bringing life to the table”. Through vibrant flavors, whole foods and most of all enjoying meal time with family and friends, she unveiled a new, vibrant life
Since 2006 this self-taught personal chef and certified nutrition consultant has been helping others do the same. As a personal chef to professional athletes (players in the NFL, NBA and more, including several Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks), she consults with their doctors and/or trainers to design meals that help them reach their performance goals. In addition, Kirsten works hard to honor personal preferences and cultural heritage.
